Military and First Responder Staff Training
Staff training for the M1R Mission is under development. The plan is to place a formal course under the TDC LearnUpon platform. In the meantime, the Staff Training documents are here on NavTeams in the M1R files. The Military and First Responder staff training requirements are in addition to the TDC "Core."
All staff should read our M1R Mission Training Manual. Questions and suggestions may be sent to our M1R Training Director, Art Allen.
About the Train-Develop-Care "Core"
This is training for everyone formally joining The Navigators organization. It applies to all Nav Missions and gives all Navigators a common vocabulary and baseline experience. It is not required for "affiliates" and general disciplemakers. Contact your local Navigator Representative to begin the process.
Note: This training module is NOT TO BE CONFUSED with The Navigators Statement of Faith, Motto, Calling, Values or Vision. Both are sometimes referred to as "Core."
- The Core is administered by our TDC (Train, Develop, Care) office of The Navigators.
- Our Military and First Responder training coordinator is Art Allen
- The Core is computer-based training requiring you to log in, read through, and answer questions. You must be registered and online in order to receive credit for completing the training.
- The training takes a devotional approach including contemplative and prayer time. You will be tempted to rush and "click through" modules, don't! Take the time to seek God's leading in your life and ministry. Take journaling seriously.
- Ask your supervisor and Regional Director to connect you with others going through this course. It helps to have a cohort to train with, keep you on track, and discuss lessons with. This can be done virtually.
- Make sure your supervisor or trainer is also tracking with you and discussing topics.
- "Every Nav Rep should be able to raise up another Nav Rep." You will be expected to be able to train someone else and have them complete Core training.
